Recalls: https://www.cars.com/news/recalls/
- 2006-14 Honda Ridgeline pickups - An accumulation of road salt in northern states may cause the frame mounting surface — where the fuel tank mounting bands are attached — to corrode and possibly detach the fuel tank, potentially resulting in a fuel leak.
- 2021-22 Sorento Hybrids and model-year 2022 Sorento PHEVs for Exploding Seat Belt Pretensioners.
You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN number. Or find their SaferCar app.
News: Traffic deaths in the U.S surged after coronavirus lockdowns ended in 2020 as more drivers engaged in unsafe behavior like speeding and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The yearly increase is the highest reported since the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began using its current traffic fatality tracking system in 1975. AND NHTSA cites this statistic in its 2020 traffic fatality report: In 45% of fatal crashes, the drivers of passenger vehicles were engaged in at least one of the following risky behaviors: speeding, alcohol impairment, or not wearing a seat belt.
