Recalls:
- Mercedes-Benz Recalls Cars, SUVs due to a software error affecting the backup camera display. The solution for dealers is simple: They’ll update the rearview camera software for free. Mercedes will begin notifying owners June 7, but those with further questions can call the automaker at 800-367-6372.
- Toyota, Lexus Vehicles recalled due to a software error regarding its vehicle stability control system. To resolve the issue, dealers will update the software of the skid control ECU for free. Owners will be notified by mid-June. For further information, owners can call Toyota at 800-331-4331, Lexus at 800-255-3987.
You can find out if your car has a past recall by calling the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN number. Or find their SaferCar app.

Honda, Acura expand certified pre-owned program to cars as old as 10 years.
The older cars won't be labeled as certified pre-owned Hondas or Acuras; they'll be called HondaTrue Used and Acura Precision Used. A recent study looked at driving fatalities between 2017 and 2021 to reveal the most dangerous ages for drivers in every state. New data has revealed that young drivers aged 19 and under are the most at-risk drivers in America, as they report the highest rate of fatal road accidents. The research analyzed car crashes reported between 2017 and 2021 to identify the age of each fatality and reveal the most at-risk. As well as this, the study examined the states that see the highest fatality rates per age group. Mississippi has been named the second most dangerous state for young drivers aged 19 and under, with 220 deaths per 100k licensed drivers. Shockingly, this is a 133% increase than the national average, which was revealed to be 97 fatalities per 100k drivers. Although it was drivers 19 and under who were most at risk in Mississippi, data also revealed that the second-deadliest age range for drivers is 20-29.
